The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing has named hmc2 Advertising its agency of record effective July 1, 2011. The agency is charged with strategic and creative duties for television, radio, print, and digital channels.
“hmc2’s holistic approach and track record in the tourism industry made them the right choice for us,” said Steve Cook, Deputy Commissioner with the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. In making the agency selection, Cook was joined by Kathy Murphy, Vermont’s Chief Marketing Officer and Megan Smith, the Commissioner of Tourism and Marketing.
The Department of Tourism and Marketing supports a diverse and vital economy by promoting Vermont as a travel destination. hmc2 has strong experience in tourism and travel, having worked with brands such as Smugglers’ Notch Resort, The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce and, most recently, The Old Tavern at Grafton.
To ensure VDTM reaches a broad audience and brings visitors to the state of Vermont, the agency will develop and implement a comprehensive campaign across a number of tourism marketing channels including VermontVacation.com, the state’s most comprehensive tourism database.
“Each of us at hmc2 has a special connection to the state of Vermont,” said Veronica Williams, President of hmc2 Advertising. “We are thrilled to work with the highly energized team at Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) to help more people discover our beautiful state.”
